TRAINER

MELISSA CHARRON

YEARS AS ATHLETIC TRAINER    1 Year
YEARS AS A HORNET   1 Year
BACKGROUND/BIO

I am originally from Bonney Lake, WA and have lived there my whole life until I went off to college. I graduated from George Fox University (just outside of Portland, OR) in 2018 where I played softball collegiately as a pitcher for 4 years. At George Fox, I studied in the Athletic Training program for 3 years. While in the program I had the chance to work with a variety of athletes in football, men and women’s soccer, men and women’s basketball, cross country, track, volleyball, baseball and softball. I also had the opportunity to work with Portland State University’s football team and travel with them for their 2017 season. I love the competitive aspect of sports and being an athletic trainer allows me to still be involved in that atmosphere, even if it is only on the sideline now. Eventually my goal is to be working as a collegiate athletic trainer. I am so blessed to have been given this opportunity to work with the White River Hornets and help them have a successful season, while being able to stay so close to home as well! I am looking forward to the upcoming sport seasons and keeping the athletes as healthy as successful as they can be!
